The error "Error 276 : Unable to connect to BankLink Online" is caused by invalid root certificates on Windows XP workstations using BankLink Books.
Microsoft support for Windows XP stopped in April 2014. As such, there is no update available to resolve this error. The only solution is to update to a newer Windows version, such as Windows 8 or 10.
