In MYOB BankLink Books you may want to delete client files to tidy up your listing of clients or make them "read-only".

The following instructions will help you achieve this.

If you want to delete your client file, ensure that you have first set the file to "read-only". 
To make a file read-only

The most efficient way to make a client file read-only is to send it to a location on your computer.

  1. Open the relevant client file and click Send Client Files to file.
  2. Confirm that the correct file is selected, and the correct location is selected. Save the file to a location where you can easily delete the file afterwards such as the desktop. 
  3. Click OK and ensure the send progress message says succeeded on the send line.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Click Open. The status shows as read-only. 
To delete a client file

To delete a client file, make sure you've first made it "read-only" as described above.

  1. Open BankLink Books.
  2. From the File menu, select Open.
  3. Right-click the read-only client file and select Delete Client File.
  4. Click Yes to confirm deletion.
