The Documents page displays a list of all the documents that have been published to the portal in either the Sent or Received tabs. Check out the video for an overview of the features available on the Dcouments page.

Click on a document in the displayed list to view it. 
or
Click the Action button associated with a document and select Preview.

View documents received from your clientsClick Received on your Documents page to view a list of all documents that you've received from your client.
View documents sent to your clientsClick Sent on your Documents page to view a list of all the documents that you've sent to your client.
Download a documentClick the Action button associated with a document and select Download. The document can then be saved and/or opened in your PDF viewer.
Filter your documentsClick Filter, then select to filter by:
  • the  document tag, or
  • the client who has been assigned the document, or
  • the person who uploaded the document

for either your Sent or Received documents.

Click Apply.

To remove the filter, click the Filter button and then Reset. Or click Reset filters on the message displayed across the top of the page indicating that you've filtered your document list.

View the any associated task

If a document is associated with a task, you'll be able to view the details of a task.
Simply click the Action button associated with the document and select View task.
or
Click the task icon associated with the document. The task icon is just before the Action button.

Delete a documentClick the Action button associated with a document and select Delete Document.

Share a documentTo share a document with a contributor, click the Action button associated with a document and select Share with contributor.

Before you can create tasks, you'll need to set up your portal options.

Creating a task

  • To send your clients a question, notification or document, go to the Tasks page in MYOB Practice and create a general task for them. You can also create general tasks from the Transaction processing page. See Create a general task.
  • If you use MYOB AE/AO, when you publish a document that requires approval (a digital signature) using your AE/AO, an approval task will be created automatically for you. You can track the document approval status and mark the task as complete when everyone has signed the document.

  • Some tasks may be created as part of the tax compliance workflow. For example, when you're sending a tax notice (NZ) or tax return (AU | NZ) to your clients.

Keeping track of tasks

The Tasks page displays a list of all the general and approval tasks that have been created for your clients.

Task counts

The Tasks page shows you how many tasks are open and completed, based on the filters that have been applied on the page (e.g. User or Status). If you’re viewing tasks for a client selected in the client sidebar, the count will show how many tasks are currently open and completed just for them.

Filtering and sorting tasks

Filter and sort tasks to help find a task or review what’s outstanding. You can sort and filter task by:

  • status
  • due date
  • accountant/partner/manager
  • client
  • portal user (if there’s more than one).
