362 - Nomination by company to appoint or cease a registered agent

Use this form to nominate yourself as a company's registered agent on their behalf.

Select All clients and click ASIC on the top menu bar. The Customer lodgements page appears.
Click the Agent documents button on the secondary navigation menu. The Agent documents lodgement page appears.
Click the Agent forms button at the top-right of the page.
Click Prepare form next to Company nominates agent. The Nominate a registered agent - Form 362 page appears.
Under Agent and Company details, select the ASIC agent to be nominate as the registered agent for the company.

Select whether the company is a New or Existing client in MYOB Practice:

If you select...

then....

New client

Enter the company name (excluding legal elements) in the Company name field.
Click on the Legal elements dropdown arrow and choose the legal element (e.g. PTY LTD, Propriety Limited) that applies to the company.
Enter the company's ACN in the Company ACN field.
Under Officer details, enter the First name and Last name of a company officer in the relevant fields.
Select the role of this officer.

Existing client

Type the client's name in the Search for company field. As you type, a list of companies appear in the dropdown list.
Choose the correct client from the dropdown list.
Under Officer details, select a signing officer for this company.

Select the checkbox to accept the declaration "I hereby declare that this information is true and that I am authorised to give this notification to ASIC."
Click Create task.
