During the installation of AccountRight Server Edition the installer will create Windows Services, Windows Firewall rules and Windows shares. For additional information see below:

 

Service Port Numbers

Service Port Numbers

Firewall software can be configured to prevent specific ports from being blocked. Refer to the help in your firewall software for more information on this, or talk to an IT professional.

The AccountRight Server Edition installs Windows Services that listen on the following ports:

Rules marked with * in the Remote address field allow connections from the following private networks, as defined in RFC 1918 (https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc1918)
* 10.0.0.0/8
* 172.16.0.0/12
* 192.168.0.0/16

It is recommended that administrators do not alter or override these rules to increase access beyond the local network.

If an existing version of AccountRight SE is installed, a new installer will alter the Windows Firewall rules for both the AccountRight Locator Service and AccountRight Library Service to match those above.

The AccountRight Server Edition also creates the following shares:

If you have changed your library location the folder path will be different than the defaults shown above.
 

During the creation of these shares the Windows Operating System may create extra Windows Firewall rules to enable access to these shares from the local network.

The AccountRight API Service installs a Windows Service that listens on Port 8080.
