Before you can upgrade your company file to the new AccountRight, the currency codes in your company file must match the International Standard, eg. United States Dollars = USD and Great British Pounds = GBP.

In AccountRight v19, a currency code can be any 3-letter code. But the new AccountRight has a currency list built-in, and the currency codes adhere to the International Standard (known as ISO 4217). This ensures consistency across all industries when dealing in multiple currencies.

To change a currency code

Go to Lists > Currencies. The Currencies List opens.
Double click the currency you want to edit.
Click the Currency Code field and type in the new currency code. Find the code you need in the list below.
